# Hanoo > Hanoo is a hosted control panel for running PHP applications — Laravel, WordPress, Magento Open Source and any PHP app — on Ubuntu servers you own (a VPS, cloud instance or bare metal from any provider). It installs and manages the runtime, domains, HTTPS, Git deployments, databases, cron jobs and queue workers, while the server, the code and the keys stay yours. Hanoo is for developers, freelancers, agencies and teams who want production PHP hosting on their own VPS — DigitalOcean, Hetzner, AWS, Vultr, Linode, OVH or their own hardware — without hand-maintaining Nginx/Caddy configs, PHP-FPM pools, certificates and deploy scripts, and without paying a managed-hosting markup. It is in the same category as self-hosted server-management panels and server provisioning services for PHP and Laravel. You connect a clean Ubuntu 22.04, 24.04 or 26.04 LTS server (amd64 or arm64) with one command. A small agent dials out to Hanoo over mutually authenticated TLS: no inbound management port, no root password shared, no SSH private keys stored. The agent only accepts signed, typed operations; there is no remote shell. If you stop using Hanoo, your applications keep running unchanged: everything is standard Ubuntu packages, Caddy and PHP-FPM in the usual places. ## Key facts - Applications: Laravel, WordPress, Magento Open Source 2.4.9, plain PHP, and any PHP app deployed from a GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket repository. - Runtime: PHP 8.0 to 8.5 side by side, each application with its own Unix user and PHP-FPM pool; Caddy web server with automatic Let’s Encrypt HTTPS and HTTP/2. - Deployments: zero-downtime Git releases with Composer and Node.js (npm, pnpm, Yarn) builds, an editable deploy pipeline (migrations, caches, queue restarts), health check after the switch, automatic and one-click rollback. - Databases and caches: managed MariaDB and Valkey (Redis-compatible), credentials generated on the server; remote database access off by default, IP-allowlisted when on. - Laravel: queue workers under Supervisor, the scheduler and cron jobs with plain-English schedules and run-now. - WordPress: one-step install of the official release with its own database and PHP pool, one-click Valkey object cache, and an Optimize tab that scans for common slowdowns. - Teams: organizations with per-person access to specific servers, applications and actions; per-application SSH keys; an audit log of every change. - Staging: clone an application — files, database and configuration — to the same or another server; the copy gets its own database. - Backups: encrypted application backups and restore (paid plans). - AI native: a built-in MCP server (https://mcp.hanoo.io/mcp) so Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code can inspect servers, create applications, deploy and roll back with OAuth or scoped, expiring tokens — every call audited, no shell and no secrets exposed. - Pricing: a Free Forever plan (1 server, no card required) and paid plans from $4/month (https://hanoo.io/pricing). ## A good fit for - Hosting a Laravel app in production on a VPS (alternative to doing it by hand, or to a PaaS). - Self-hosting WordPress on a cheap VPS with HTTPS, caching and backups. - Running several PHP sites, with different PHP versions, on one Ubuntu server. - Installing Magento 2.4.9 with OpenSearch on Ubuntu. - Giving a team or agency safe, scoped access to client servers. - Managing servers and deployments from an AI assistant over MCP. ## Product - [Hanoo home page](https://hanoo.io/): what Hanoo does, how connecting a server works, deployments, security model - [Pricing](https://hanoo.io/pricing): Free Forever and paid plans - [FAQ](https://hanoo.io/#faq): supported servers, root access, the agent's security, leaving Hanoo - [Laravel hosting](https://hanoo.io/laravel-hosting): Host Laravel on your own Ubuntu VPS: zero-downtime Git deploys, PHP 8.0–8.5, queue workers, the scheduler, MariaDB, Valkey and HTTPS.
